  1. What ties these three pieces together is a reverence to the past. For nostalgia. But also, as is the case with "Victorian Ghost Story" and "Ferry" is the pain that comes with the past and the things that we've left behind. "Union Soldier" in itself is a Ghost. These three pieces deal with ghosts. The ghosts of the past. These pieces really are quite painful but are beautiful in their pain. The artist has the ability to move people because they are tapping into a very common human emotion of clinging to the past. We can't change the past, but can only work on making better the present. But we must always remember the past and how it has shaped us to be what we are today, for better or worse. These pieces wouldn't appear out of place in many of the respected art museum's throughout the world. Your gift of beautifully rendering your subjects and their universe and tapping into the human experience know's no bounds.
